Want to use your mobile phone to establish an internet connection from a laptop or desktop? It's called tethering. It's easy, but remember you need to set up your mobile phone for internet before you can use this function.


Install BlackBerry Link
  • Go to www.blackberry.com on your computer.
  • Find the download section on the website to download BlackBerry Link.
  • Download and install BlackBerry Link.

Select USB connection setting
  • Slide your finger downwards starting from the top edge of the display.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Storage and Access.
  • Tap USB Connections.
  • Tap Connect to Windows or Connect to Mac depending on the operating system on your computer.
  • Tap the return icon.
  • Tap Network and Connections.
  • Tap Internet Tethering.
  • If it's the first time you use tethering:
  • Follow the instructions on the display to establish a USB connection to the computer.
  • If you've used tethering before:
  • Tap Connect using.
  • Tap USB.

Connect mobile phone and computer
  • Connect the data cable to the phone socket and to your computer's USB port.

Turn on tethering
  • Tap the indicator next to "Internet Tethering" until the function is turned on.
  • An internet connection from the computer via your mobile phone is established.
