Turning use of PIN on or off



The PIN is used to protect your SIM from unauthorised use. When the function is turned on, the PIN needs to be keyed in every time the router is used in order to access your SIM.


Turn on your router
  • Tap and hold On/Off.

Establish connection to Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • Do the following in Mac OS X:
  • Click the Wi-Fi icon.
  • Click the name of your Wi-Fi Hotspot.
  • You can see the name and password for your Wi-Fi Hotspot by tapping the WPS key twice in quick succession.
  • Key in the password for your Wi-Fi Hotspot and click Join.
  • A connection to your Wi-Fi Hotspot is established.

Establish a connection to the router web interface
  • Open a browser.
  • Key in 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and tap Enter.
  • If you're asked to key in your PIN:
  • Highlight the field next to "PIN code" and key in your PIN (default is 1234).
  • Click Apply.
  • Click Log In.
  • Highlight the field below "User name" and key in admin
  • Highlight the field below "Password" and key in admin
  • Click Log In.

Find "PIN Management"
  • Click Settings.
  • Click Security.
  • Click PIN Management.

Turn use of PIN on or off
  • Click the drop down list next to "PIN operation".
  • To turn on use of PIN:
  • Highlight Enable.
  • To turn off use of PIN:
  • Highlight Disable.
  • Highlight the field next to "PIN code" and key in your PIN (default is 1234).
  • Click Apply.

Exit
  • Click Log Out.
  • Click OK to confirm.
