Find "Access Point Names"
  • Tap Applications.
  • Tap Settings.
  • Tap Wireless and network.
  • Tap Mobile networks.
  • Tap Access Point Names.

Create new data connection
  • Tap the Menu key.
  • Tap New APN.

Enter data connection name
  • Tap Name.
  • Key in SingTel Email and tap OK.

Enter APN
  • Tap APN.
  • If you're on a pay monthly rate plan:
  • Key in e-ideas
  • If you're on a pay as you go rate plan:
  • Key in hicard
  • Tap OK.

Enter username
  • Tap Username.
  • Key in 65ideas and tap OK.

Enter password
  • Tap Password.
  • Key in 65ideas and tap OK.

Enter country code
  • Tap MCC.
  • Key in 525 and tap OK.

Enter network code
  • Tap MNC.
  • Key in 01 and tap OK.

Select authentication type
  • Tap Authentication type.
  • Tap PAP.

Select APN type
  • Tap APN type.
  • Tap Internet.

Save and activate data connection
  • Tap the Menu key.
  • Tap Save.
  • Tap the field next to SingTel Email to fill in the field.
  • Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.

Find "Email"
  • Tap Applications.
  • Tap Email.

Create new email account
  • If email accounts have been created already:
  • Tap the field at the top left corner of the display.
  • Tap the Menu key.
  • Tap Add account.

Enter email address
  • Tap account@example.com and key in your email address (such as name@provider.com).

Enter password
  • Tap Password and key in the password for your email account.
  • Tap Next.

Select option
  • If this image is displayed:
  • Follow steps 17 through 20.
  • If this image is displayed:
  • Follow steps 21 through 35.

Enter email account name
  • Tap the field below Give this account a name (Optional) and key in a name for your email account (such as Private or Work).

Enter sender name
  • Tap the field below Your name (Displayed on outgoing messages) and key in the required sender name.

Retrieve emails
  • Tap Done.
  • Wait while your mobile phone retrieves new email.

Exit
  • Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.

Select server type
  • Tap POP3 account.

Enter username
  • Tap the field below User name and key in the username for your email account.

Enter incoming server
  • Tap the field below POP3 server and key in the name or IP address of your email provider's incoming server.
  • If SingTel is your email provider, key in pop.singnet.com.sg as your incoming server.

Turn encryption of incoming emails on or off
  • Tap the drop down list below Security type.
  • Tap None.

Enter incoming port
  • Tap the field below Port and key in 110

Turn deletion of emails on server on or off
  • Tap the drop down list below Delete email from server.
  • Tap Never or When I delete from Inbox.
  • Tap Next.

Enter outgoing server
  • Tap the field below SMTP server and key in bbom-smtp.stm.com.sg

Turn off encryption of outgoing emails
  • Tap the drop down list below Security type.
  • Tap None.

Enter outgoing port
  • Tap the field below Port and key in 25

Turn off SMTP authentication
  • Tap Require sign-in to turn off SMTP authentication.
  • When the box next to the menu item is empty, SMTP authentication is turned off.
  • Tap Next.

Select setting for retrieving new emails
  • Tap the drop down list below Email check frequency.
  • Tap the required period.
  • Tap Next.

Enter email account name
  • Tap the field below Give this account a name (Optional) and key in a name for your email account (such as Private or Work).

Enter sender name
  • Tap the field below Your name (Displayed on outgoing messages) and key in the required sender name.

Retrieve emails
  • Tap Done.
  • Wait while your mobile phone retrieves new email.

Exit
  • Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
