Saving the message centre number



Your router usually applies the necessary settings to send and receive SMS automatically. If this isn't the case, you can save the message centre number manually.


Turn on your router
  • Tap and hold On/Off.

Establish connection to Wi-Fi Hotspot
  • Do the following in Mac OS X:
  • Click the Wi-Fi icon.
  • Click the name of your Wi-Fi Hotspot.
  • You can see the name and password for your Wi-Fi hotspot under the battery.
  • Key in the password for your Wi-Fi Hotspot and click OK.
  • A connection to your Wi-Fi Hotspot is established.

Establish a connection to the router web interface
  • Open a browser.
  • Key in 192.168.0.1 in the address bar and tap Enter.
  • Highlight the field next to "Password" and key in admin
  • Click Login.
  • If you're asked to key in your PIN:
  • Highlight the field next to "PIN" and key in your PIN (default is 1234).
  • Click Apply.

Find "SMS Settings"
  • Click SMS.
  • Click SMS Settings.

Save the message centre number
  • Highlight the field next to "Center Number".
  • If you're on a pay monthly rate plan:
  • Key in +6596197777
  • If you're on a pay as you go rate plan:
  • Key in +6596400001
  • Click Save.

Exit
  • Click Logout.
  • Click OK to confirm.
