Suppressing calls and notifications (Do Not Disturb)

If you don't want to be disturbed by calls or notifications, you can set your tablet to silent mode for a specified period of time. You can also choose that your tablet should ring when you receive calls from certain contacts even though your tablet is in silent mode.

Turn on Do Not Disturb

Tap Settings.

Turn on Do Not Disturb

Tap the indicator next to "Do Not Disturb" until the function is turned on.

Select option

Tap Notifications.

Select option

Tap Do Not Disturb.

Choose one of the following options:

Set period of time, go to 2a.

Select contacts, go to 2b.

Turn Repeated Calls on or off, go to 2c.

Please note: your tablet is only in silent mode when the screen lock is turned on. If the screen lock is turned off, you'll hear all calls and notifications.

Tap the indicator next to "Scheduled" until the function is turned on.

Drag the wheels to specify the period of time in which you don't want to be disturbed.

Tap the field below "Scheduled" to go back to the settings.

2b - Select contacts

You can select which contacts can call you or sent you messages even though the function is turned on. You can create groups in iCloud on your computer.

Tap Allow Calls From.

Tap Everyone, No One, Favourites or the required group.

Tap Do Not Disturb to go back to the settings.

2c - Turn Repeated Calls on or off

You can set your tablet to ring if the same person calls you twice within three minutes even though the function is turned on.

Tap the indicator next to "Repeated Calls" to turn the function on or off.

Return to the home screen

Tap the Home key to return to the home screen.
