Making a video call on my mobile phone (FaceTime)

You can make a video call to another device which supports FaceTime. The video call can be made using either the mobile network or a Wi-Fi network. Remember, you need to activate data connections before you can use this function.

Find "FaceTime"

Tap Settings.

Tap FaceTime.

Turn on FaceTime

Remember, you need an Apple ID before you can log on. If you don't have an Apple ID, you can create one at www.apple.com

Tap the indicator next to FaceTime to turn on the function.

If you've not yet logged on with your Apple ID:

Tap Use your Apple ID for FaceTime.

Follow the instructions on the display to log on.

Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.

Make a video call

Remember, you need to establish a connection to a Wi-Fi network before you can make a video call using a Wi-Fi network. Remember, you need to activate data connections before you can make a video call using the mobile network.

Tap Utilities.

Tap Contacts.

Tap the required contact.

Tap FaceTime.

Tap the required number or the required email address.

Select option

When you have an active video call, you can select the following options:

Mute or unmute the microphone, go to 4a.

Change camera, go to 4b.

4a - Mute or unmute the microphone

Tap the microphone icon.

Depending on the current setting, the microphone is muted or unmuted.

4b - Change camera

Tap the camera icon.

Depending on the current setting the interior or the exterior camera is turned on.

Step 14 of 15

End the call

Tap End to end the call.

Step 15 of 15

Exit

Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
