Using tethering on my mobile phone

Want to use your mobile phone to establish an internet connection from a laptop or desktop? It's called tethering. It's easy, but you need to set up your mobile phone for internet and install BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer before you can use this function. You can download this program from www.blackberry.com

Install BlackBerry Desktop Software

Go to www.blackberry.com on your computer.

Find the download section on the website to download BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Download and install BlackBerry Desktop Software.

Connect mobile phone and computer

Connect the data cable to the phone socket and to the computer's USB port.

Set up your computer for tethering

Start BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer.

Click Mobile Internet.

Click Configure connection ....

Click Add.

Click the field next to "Profile Name".

Key in SingTel Internet

Click the field next to "Access point".

If you're on a pay monthly rate plan:

If you're on a pay as you go rate plan:

Key in hicard

Click the field next to "User name".

Click the field next to "Password".

Click OK to activate the profile.

Click OK to confirm.

Establish connection

Click Connect.

When the connection is established, you can access the internet from your computer.
