Want to set up your mobile phone for email? It's easy, but remember you need to set up your mobile phone for internet before you can use this function.
Tap the menu icon.
Create new email account
If an email account has been created already, do the following instead: Tap the menu icon. Tap Settings. Tap Add account. Tap Other.
Enter email address
Key in your email address.
If the display tells you that your email account has been set up, go to step 14.
Tap Password and key in the password for your email account.
Select server type
Enter incoming server
Key in the name of your email provider's incoming server.
If SingTel is your email provider, key in pop.singnet.com.sg as your incoming server.
Turn off encryption of incoming email
Tap the drop down list below "Security type".
Enter incoming port
Tap the field below "Port number" and key in 110
Tap the field below "Username" and key in the username for your email account.
Enter outgoing server
Key in bbom-smtp.stm.com.sg
Turn off encryption of outgoing email
Enter outgoing port
Tap the field below "Port number" and key in 25
Turn off SMTP authentication
Tap the box next to "Require sign-in" until the function is turned off.
Enter account name
Key in the required name.
Enter sender name
Tap the field below "Your name" and key in the required sender name.
Select settings for retrieval of new email
Tap the name of the email account you've just set up.
Tap Update schedule.
Tap In peak times.
Tap Manual or the required period.
If you select a period:
Tap Yes to confirm.
Tap In off-peak times.
Return to the home screen
Tap the home icon to return to the home screen.
Tap anywhere to dismiss
