Turning the key lock on my mobile phone on or off

If you want to avoid accidental key taps, you can lock the phone keys and display.

Step 1 of 13

Choose lock option

Select one of the following options:

Turn key lock on or off, go to 1a.

Select setting for automatic key lock, go to 1b.

1a - Turn key lock on or off

When the key lock is turned on, the key lock icon is displayed in standby mode. You can answer an incoming call without unlocking the keys.

Tap the Left selection key and the Function key in succession.

Depending on the current setting, the key lock is turned on or off.

Tap the Menu key.

Scroll to Tools and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Settings and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to General and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Security and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Phone and SIM card and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Keypad autolock period and tap the Navigation key.

To turn on automatic key lock:

Scroll to User defined and tap the Navigation key.

Key in the required number of minutes and seconds and tap the Navigation key.

To turn off automatic key lock:

Scroll to None and tap the Navigation key.
