Setting up my mobile phone for MMS

Want to set up your mobile phone for MMS? Follow these easy instructions.

Find "Access points"

Tap the Menu key.

Scroll to Data bearer and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Packet data and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Access point name and tap the Navigation key.

Tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to User name and tap the Navigation key.

Turn off request for password

Scroll to Prompt password and tap the Navigation key to select No.

Select authentication

Scroll to Authentication and tap the Navigation key to select Normal.

Scroll to Homepage and tap the Navigation key.

Key in http://mms.singtel.com:10021/mmsc and tap the Navigation key.

Enter IP address

Tap Options.

Scroll to Advanced settings and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Proxy server address and tap the Navigation key.

Key in 165.21.42.84 and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to Proxy port number and tap the Navigation key.

Key in 8080 and tap the Navigation key.

Save data connection

Tap Back twice to save the settings and return to the list of data connections.

Tap the Menu key to return to standby mode.

Tap the Menu key.

Scroll to Communic. and tap the Navigation key.

Select data connection

Scroll to Access point in use and tap the Navigation key.

Scroll to SingTel MMS and tap the Navigation key.

Select setting for MMS download

If you select Always automatic, you'll receive all MMS. If you select Auto in home netw., you'll be notified before you receive MMS when you're out of range of your home network. If you select Manual, you'll always be notified before you receive MMS. If you select Off, only headers are retrieved. You then have to retrieve the MMS manually.

Scroll to Multimedia retrieval and tap the Navigation key.

Select setting for MMS download

If you select Always automatic, you'll receive all MMS. If you select Auto in home netw., you'll be notified before you receive MMS when you're out of range of your home network. Scroll to Always automatic and tap the Navigation key.

Step 40 of 41

Turn request for delivery reports on or off

If you turn on delivery reports, you'll be notified when your message has been delivered. This requires that sending of delivery reports has been turned on by the recipient.

Scroll to Receive report and tap the Navigation key to select Yes or No.

Exit

Tap the Menu key to return to standby mode.
