Want to set up your mobile phone for email? Follow these easy instructions.
Find "Access Point Names"
Tap More settings.
Tap Mobile networks.
Tap Access Point Names.
Create new data connection
Tap the Menu key.
Tap New APN.
Enter data connection name
Key in SingTel Mail and tap OK.
An APN (Access Point Name) is used to establish a data connection.
If you're on a pay monthly rate plan:
Key in e-ideas
If you're on a pay as you go rate plan:
Key in hicard
Key in 65ideas and tap OK.
Enter country code
Key in 525 and tap OK.
Enter network code
Key in 01 and tap OK.
Select authentication type
Tap Authentication type.
Select APN type
Tap APN type.
Key in default and tap OK.
Save and activate data connection
Tap the field next to SingTel Mail to fill in the field.
Tap the Home key to return to standby mode.
If email accounts have been created already, tap the Menu key. Tap Settings. Tap the add account icon.
Enter email address
Tap firstname.lastname@example.org and key in your email address.
Tap Password and key in the password for your email account.

Follow steps 16 through 19.
Follow steps 20 through 34.
Select settings for email account
Follow the instructions on the display to select settings for the email account.
Enter email account name
Tap the field below Give this account a name (Optional) and key in a name for your email account (such as Private or Work).
Wait while your mobile phone retrieves new email.
Select server type
Tap POP3 account.
Key in the username for your email account.
Enter incoming server
Tap the field below POP3 server and key in the name or IP address of your email provider's incoming server.
If SingTel is your email provider, key in pop.singnet.com.sg as your incoming server.
Turn off encryption of incoming email
Tap the drop down list below Security type.
Enter incoming port
Tap the field below Port and key in 110
Turn deletion of emails on server on or off
Tap the drop down list below Delete email from server.
Tap Never or When I delete from Inbox.
Enter outgoing server
Key in bbom-smtp.stm.com.sg
Turn off encryption of outgoing emails
Enter outgoing port
Tap the field below Port and key in 25
Turn off SMTP authentication
Tap Require sign-in to turn off SMTP authentication.
When the box next to the menu item is empty, SMTP authentication is turned off.
Select setting for retrieving new emails
Tap the drop down list below Email check frequency.
Tap Never or the required period.
Enter sender name
Tap the field below Your name (displayed on outgoing messages) and key in the required sender name.
Tap anywhere to dismiss
